Which aggregate size do you need?
20mm blue metal is the standard for RCC slabs, beams, columns and footings. 12mm is used for thinner sections, lintels, precast items and where reinforcement is dense. 6mm chips suit plastering base coats, concrete flooring and block production. 40mm aggregate is used for plain cement concrete beds, soling under foundations and road sub-base. If you are unsure, tell us the element you are casting and we will recommend the size.
Why aggregate quality affects your concrete
Flaky, dusty or poorly graded stone leaves voids and weak bonds in concrete. Our aggregate is crushed from hard granite, screened to size and kept free of soil, so it packs tightly and bonds well with cement paste. For bulk orders we can share quarry test reports.
Delivery and quantities
Aggregate is sold by the unit (100 cubic feet) and delivered in tipper loads of up to four units; published rates are per unit on a full 4-unit load. We serve Tenkasi, Ilanji, Courtallam, Shencottai, Kadayanallur, Alangulam, Surandai, Puliyangudi, Sankarankovil and nearby villages, with same-day dispatch for most morning orders.
