Editorial Policy

The guides, calculators and rates on this site are published by TKR Building Materials Supplier, a working building materials supplier in Ilanji, Tenkasi. They reflect what we sell and how construction is actually done in Tenkasi district.

Who writes the content

Articles are written and reviewed by the TKR team, led by founder T. Packia Raj and technical lead S. Amul Raj, drawing on day-to-day supply to builders, contractors and homeowners across the district. Technical rules of thumb (mix ratios, bar weights, bricks per square foot) follow standard Indian practice and the relevant IS codes.

Use of AI assistance

We use AI tools to help draft, structure and translate some articles and to produce some illustrative images. Every published page is checked by a member of the TKR team for accuracy against our own products, rates and site experience before it goes live. Prices and rates

Rates shown on service pages, the construction cost guide and area pages come from a single rate list that we review when market prices move. Each rate shows the date it was last confirmed (currently 18 October 2026). Rates are per unit delivered in a 4-unit vehicle within our delivery area, are subject to availability and are confirmed when you order. They are not a quotation.

Calculators and estimates

The material calculator and TMT weight calculator use standard nominal-mix thumb rules and the d²/162 formula. They are planning aids. Your structural engineer's design and bar bending schedule take precedence for any actual construction.

Updates

We refresh guides when products, practices or prices change, and we remove articles that no longer serve builders in Tenkasi. Old addresses redirect to the closest current page so links keep working.
